The project is about attracting customers or future clients to build a community of individuals who share a passion as luxury enthusiasts.

The luxury business captured the hearts of many, turning them into enthusiasts and collectors. Some people care about the quality of anything they purchase and are ready to pay the price for it, others like to collect rare items and connect with them on a spiritual and personal level.


The quality of their work and dedication to create memorable experiences have always been at the epitome of why these companies exist.


The luxury business is quite niche. Clients are scattered around the globe with limited ways of connecting with each other. Here is where Saphebox comes in.


How might we create a portal where luxury enthusiasts and collectors share their passion, interest, and much more under an exclusive platform?


To do that, first we need to find a way to grab users' attention and let them know what's in store once they join.

I am tackling the design process using the Design Thinking methodology. I also analyzed competitor sites to identify industry best practices. Key findings included a strong emphasis on simplicity, white space, and minimalism in design.


I showcase my visuals with interactivity in mind, allowing different stakeholders such as developers and managers to get an idea of how things work, and for them to visualize the approach and the journey before coding starts. Afterward, I work closely with the dev team to ensure everything is going smoothly and if there are any doubts that need to be solved.


I also keep an eye on the latest trends in design and try to apply new features that Figma and the design community introduce to facilitate work and delivery.

Landing Page Design


Finding a way to capture users' attention at first glance was a challenge. Considering the limited resources we had at the time, we resorted to imaginative or future thinking in what will it be like once users join our community. I highlighted the mission, vision, and purpose of the startup throughout the landing page. A strong emphasis on one of the main portals to utlilize the solution, the mobile application.


Wireframing and Prototyping


Low-fidelity Wireframes were created to get a feel of the layout before generating high-fidelity ones and later prototyping them. Different iterations were requested to get an idea of how things look and function in different ways and then we decided on the approach that fits the brand and customer journey more.


User Testing


User testing was conducted upon completion of a user journey of a certain feature. Testing was performed with target customers and the results were analyzed and taken into consideration for the next iterations.

White Space


Spacing or having the content breathe a little is of high importance to me as a designer. It all comes down to how I can satisfy clients by showing all the content they want to see on a page and how to make the content not cluttered or noisy. Fortunately, luxury businesses value this design system more than any other business/industry. To them it is all about minimalism, bold fonts, brief content, which in overall, convey elegance.


Colors


Deciding on the brand's colors was a challenge as well. Different opinions were generated from stakeholders but a unanimous decision had to be made. We reached a decision that fits the brand more, highlighting tones related to technology, elegance, luxury, scarcity, and community.

To Improve the user experience, I designed the platform in a way to allow for multiple interactions without interfering with the flow or the journey. Since this is a landing page, the main CTA is for users to join the waitlist. To do that, the options in the Menu bar take the user to their respective section within the landing page as a way to keep the users on the landing page and encourage them to apply.

Working for this kind of sector was an enrinching experience. Getting to know the founders and how they see things, that is being familiar with the luxury industry, is certainly an eye-opening experince for me. It helped increase my exposure to that sector and push me into creating designs that will satisfy the target customers.
